PRODUCTS
We can supply all the equipment required for recording and editing and crew is booked depending on individual requirements. The final product can be supplied on disc or tape and in many cases transferred via satellite or internet. Here are a few examples of our services:
Recording
DVCam, MiniDV, Betacam SP, and DigiBeta
More and more programme makers, broadcasters and corporate customers choose to record and edit on DVCam which is closely related and in many ways compatible with MiniDV. It is a digital system, cheap to work with and the quality is better than analogue Betacam SP. Digibeta is a good but expensive system and out of these three DVCam and MiniDV are by far the most popular formats. All these systems are used by all major broadcasters and television stations around the world.
Editing
Final Cut Pro and Media 100
All editing is now dominated by computer based digital systems. There are many different models on the market and they all produce a similar result. We have chosen Final Cut Pro but we are also working on Media 100.
Duplication
DVD, CD-Rom and VHS
DVD is the popular video system for playback in most situations. The quality is superb. Depending on the volume, we aim to produce all our copies in-house and all discs and tapes are individually checked throughout the whole process. Our DVD copies are supplied within a few days after the programme has been finished. The process begins with the "authoring" which is computer based work preparing the DVD with all its contents; navigation menus, main programme, stills and slide shows, additional information and sometimes subtitles. The cover and the print on disc is in full colour and according to the clients instructions includes logos and text.
